Construction crews are beginning work Monday on a highway bridge that will be closed for the next 13 months.
Officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers stated that Highway 151 Bridge over Keystone Dam will close at 9 a.m. Monday. All traffic will be diverted around the closed bridge.
According to previous information, the entire "50-year-old bridge is being replaced" in a project slated to take up to 13 months to complete.
Area motorists are being advised to take U.S. Highway 412 or state Highway 51 as a detour around the closed bridge.
