A train derailed Thursday just east of downtown Tulsa leaving a railroad crossing closed to traffic during the early morning hours.
Railroad crews were sent to the scene of the derailment near Lansing and Highway 75. Before 6 a.m. a few cars remained off the tracks.
KTUL learned that the train jumped the tracks and was stopped at the crossing over Peoria. It was moved off the crossing during the early morning hours.
No injuries were reported at the scene. Officials with the train company have not stated a cause for the derailment.
