OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma prosecutors spent much of 2012 pursuing felony charges against men and women accused of committing crimes against some of the state's most vulnerable residents - its children.
In September, 29-year-old Joshua Durcho pleaded guilty to five counts of first-degree murder in Canadian County and was sentenced to life in prison for the strangulation deaths of 4 children aged 3-7 and their 25-year-old mother.
In October, 30-year-old Shaun Bosse was convicted of 3 counts of first-degree murder in McClain County and sentenced to death for the deaths of a 25-year-old Dibble woman and her two young children, aged 8 and 6.
And an Oklahoma County couple was sentenced to 18 year in prison for child neglect in the fiery deaths of their three children, aged 4, 3 and 22 months.Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
