Rogers County authorities have arrested a man Wednesday accused of shooting his son during a reported dispute.
Initials reports state that Donald Nicewander was booked into the jail on a shooting with intent to kill complaint. Nicewander was arrested after a shooting incident that began in Inola.
Emergency paramedics were made aware of the incident late Tuesday after locating a man near the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa with a gunshot wound. That victim was Nicewander's son.
Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton told KTUL that both Nicewander and his son live at a residence in Inola where they became involved in a dispute. Nicewander proceeded to fire a gun and struck his son as he was leaving the residence.
Nicewander's son left the area in a vehicle to seek medical attention. When he was picked up by emergency paramedics he was listed with non-life threatening wounds.
