Next week at the Greenwood Cultural Center, the community will get a chance to step inside a dark chapter of Tulsa's past.
A new documentary called Tulsa: Hate Crime Capital will explore the media's coverage of hate crimes, from the 1921 race riots to the Good Friday shootings.
Back on Good Friday of 2012, two men went on a shooting spree in North Tulsa, shooting five black people and killing three.
The documentary will air February 3rd at 6:45. February is Black History Month. For more information:http://www.jhfcenter.org/2014/01/film-premiere-hate-crimes-in-the-heartland/
