Dogs Are Good For Your Heart, Study Says

The American Heart Association finds that man's best friend can be good for your heart.

After reviewing 30 studies, the AHA found that owning a pet, especially a dog, can reduce your risk of heart disease. They say it's because dog owners get more exercise by walking the dogs.

54% were more likely to get the recommended level of physical activity over non-dog owners.

It also helps lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and obesity.
