Dogs From Wildfire Up For Adoption

Six dogs rescued from the Creek County fires will be available for adoption on Saturday, September 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the 34th annual Brush Creek Bazaar.

That's located at South 109th and Louisville in Tulsa.

Jamee Suarez-Howard, of the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals, says the dogs have been cared for by volunteers and veterinarians working with the OAA.

It's a Tulsa non-profit group that works to overcome pet homelessness, abuse and neglect.

"These dogs have not been claimed by owners and they need loving, forever homes," said Suarez-Howard.

All of the dogs adopted on Saturday will be spayed or neutered and will receive a microchip so they will never again be lost.

The cost for adoption is $50.

Also at the event this year, there will be a German Shepherd Rescue group.

They will also have some dogs available for adoption.
