Downtown Tulsa's New 'Temporary' Library Unveiled

Librarium to open Sept. 3rd

Tulsans will have a new "temporary" library in downtown soon, while crews close down the Central Library for a two-year renovation project.

Details about the Librarium, located at a former Safeway grocery store on 1110 S. Denver Ave., were unveiled Tuesday morning, including renderings of the facility.

The Librarium will open its doors to downtown readers on September 3rd.

Central Library will close on August 30th and the $47 million project is expected to be complete by 2015.
