A driver is in the hospital Thursday after being a involved in a rollover accident that left a Tulsa motel with significant damage.
Emergency personnel removed an unidentified driver from a Ford F-150 around 10 a.m. Officials at the scene stated that the truck flipped off Interstate 44 and landed in the side of the Howard Johnson motel.
According to a release from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the driver was pinned for approximately 28 minutes. Fire crews were able to remove him from the truck using extraction equipment.
KTUL was there as OHP and Tulsa Fire Department assisted in removing the driver. Troopers stated that sleep deprivation could have been the cause for the accident.
EMSA transported the driver to the hospital with head, arm and leg injuries. He is expected to recover.
