For those who might want to catch a ride to Oklahoma City but do not want to drive, there is now an option.
The Eastern Flyer rail service, which is the first passenger train rail service across Oklahoma in 50 years, has reported over 700 tickets sold in its first week of sales, according to a press release.
The first three train rides are scheduled for Feb. 9, 15 and 23.
In the press release, Angela Arias, the vice president or marketing for Iowa Pacific's Premier Rail Collection, is quoted as saying "the demand for rail travel continues to grow and ticket sales crushed our overall goal of 300 tickets."
Meals are served on the train and Eastern Flyer promises to provide first-class service.
Packages start at $70 per adult and $64 per child.
