EcoFest to Hit Tulsa Saturday

The Tulsa Community College northeast campus will hold EcoFest Saturday, a family-friendly event focused on eco-friendliness.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature activities for the kids such as free camel rides along with multiple presentations on topics ranging from alternative energy sources to gardening.

"EcoFest is about empowering families to live greener and healthier and shows them small ways to make those changes from cooking with healthier ingredients to gardening or planting a tree," said John Gibson, the TCC northeast campus provost.

The event will also feature live music, food, films from the 30 exhibitors and vendors on hand.

Up With Trees will donate several hundred trees to the community during the festival.
