Three community education seminars open to the public regarding drug and alcohol abuse among students will be held beginning tonight in Vinita.
The seminars are being held at this time in the year with particular emphasis on Spring Break coming up, a time when students might have more time without adult supervision.
The meeting tonight will be held at Ewing Halsell Middle School auditorium in Vinita from 6-7 p.m.
The seminars emphasize the growing dangers of K2, a synthetic and potentially deadly drug that can be bought in some convenience stores.
Additional information regarding other problematic drug and alcohol issues will be addressed at the seminars.
Similar seminars will be held March 6 in Claremore at the Claremore High School Library and March 13 at Pryor High School.
