Engine Issue Forces International Flight to Land in Tulsa
More than 200 passengers aboard an American Airlines flight have been sitting on the runway since earlier this evening.
Officials with American Airlines stated that a Boeing 747 from London was forced to land at Tulsa International Airport due to an engine issue. It was scheduled to arrive in Dallas.
KTUL learned that a second plane has been sent to TIA from Dallas to get the passengers to their original destination. It is scheduled to arrive in Tulsa before 10 p.m.
Officials added that the passengers will go in through TIA in order to switch over to the second place. It is expected to land in Dallas late this evening.
