The rhinos living at the Tulsa Zoo are about to get an extreme home makeover.
The zoo will break ground later this week on a new state-of-the-art exhibit for the rhinos.
It's the first of many improvements expected to come to the African section of the zoo.
The new exhibit will include an African-style barn, as well as, green technology to help save energy.
"Very state-of-the-art for both visitors to view the animals and our animal care staff to be able to manage the rhinos," says Tulsa Zoo Management CEO Terrie Correll.
Once complete, the exhibit will be three acres, which is about three times its current size.
More specific plans will be unveiled Thursday.
