A Fashion Show was held Sunday afternoon to benefit the Dress for Success Program as well as bring more attention to business owners in the Tulsa area.

Kenya Carter, a local designer and national stylist, debuted her fashion line, Iris Rose, at The View. It was an event that brought more attention to local designers, stylists and boutiques, as well as benefit Dress for Success.

"THE VIEW is a platform for Tulsa's fashion designers, hair and wardrobe stylists to showcase the looks every fashionista must have in their arsenal this fall," said Kenya Carter, designer and national stylist.

Besides designs from Kenya Carter, THE VIEW featured designs from celebrity designer Raul Flores, whose styles have increasingly commanded celebrity spotlight, most admirably by gracing the shoulders of Lady Gaga.

The event included a segment where local wardrobe stylists Jennifer Ousley, Annette Williams and Milford & Kenya Carter utilize fashions from Dillard's in Woodland Hills and local boutiques including Dainty Hooligan, Tawnini Boutique and 4VersatileStyle.

During this segment attendees learned what trends and styles look best on their body types and why.

THE VIEW also partnered with Dress for Success to offer styling for a deserving recipient who was a featured model in a spotlight segment. Ten percent of proceeds from this event will benefit Dress for Success.

Hair and makeup will be provided by Redz Salon and Paul Mitchell. Fashion Meets Art and Hill & Jordan Studios have also partnered with Kenya Carter to make this event a success.

Carter, who has owned a boutique salon in Tulsa's Pearl District for almost a decade, plans to make THE VIEW a semi-annual event that will preview trends for the Spring and Fall seasons.
