A 74-year-old man was ejected from his vehicle in Mayes County late last night, Oct. 27.
Donald N. Eastep Sr. was driving eastbound on US Scenic 412, four miles from Locust Grove, when for an unknown reason left the road way.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the vehicle struck the embankment and flipped over twice. Eastep was ejected out of the sun roof 31 feet from the point of impact.
Eastep was transported to Mayes County Medical Center in Pryor were he was pronounced dead of massive injuries.
The report states that seatbelts were not in use.
