Female Entrepreneurs Balance Work & Home

Celebrating successful business women making their mark here in Green Country.

Broken Arrow's Chamber of Commerce hosted a luncheon Wednesday featuring three women who started their businesses locally.

Lisa Riley from Pinot's Palette, Shannon Wilburn from Just Between Friends and Jill Donovan from Rustic Cuff were the guest speakers.

The ladies discussed the challenges of being an entrepreneur and wearing many "different hats" at once.

"I'm used to being in corporate America, where I have an HR department, and I have an accounting department and I have a janitorial staff," says Riley. "And all of the sudden, when you have your own business, you have to be all of those people in one. So it's a lot of work, but you also learn a lot about yourself."

Pinot's Palette has two stores; one on Cherry Street and another in Jenks.

A third store is about to open in Broken Arrow.
