A former Broken Arrow football player accused of robbery was back in Tulsa County court Wednesday.
Devon Thomas is charged with armed robbery and shooting with intent to kill, in connection to an altercation on May 27. The case has been delayed as a co-defendant was recently appointed a public defender.
Alleged victim and star witness, Cade Willison, took the stand during Wednesday's preliminary hearing. The defense worked to discredit Willison, bringing up a recent drug-related arrest.
Thomas was set to join the 2014 Oklahoma State University football team this season, but was cut from the roster after his arrest.
He and his four co-defendants face anywhere from several years to life in prison, if convicted.
