Former Owasso City Manager Enters Not Guilty Plea During Court Appearance

      Owasso's former city manager appeared before a Tulsa courtroom Wednesday morning where he pleaded not guilty.

      Rodney Ray was scheduled for his arraignment before a Tulsa judge at 9 a.m. Wednesday. At the hearing he entered the not guilty plea.

      Court documents state that Ray was charged with bogus check over $1,000 and false reporting of a crime back in June.

      Tulsa's Channel 8's community newspaper partner, the Owasso Reporter, described that Ray appeared briefly along with his attorney, Allen Smallwood, of Tulsa. He is due back in court Aug. 23.

      He had no comment following his arraignment, according to the Owasso Reporter.
