Area residents wishing to learn how to perform basic CPR can take courses beginning May 30.
Tulsa Parks and Citizen CPR are joining together to offer the courses in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Bixby and Sand Springs. They will be held at various locations through August.
All classes are being offered for free with the help of the American Heart Association, EMSA and Cox Radio, Inc. Course will be taught in the AHA's "Family & Friends CPR" format.
Officials added that participants need no experience before taking the course. Instructors will will teach basic CPR for infants, children, and adults. The hands-on course will also explain how Automated External Defibrillators work and give attendees a chance to try to use an educational AED.
