Grocery shoppers were out in droves Wednesday, getting last minute Thanksgiving odds and ends.
"It's pretty crowded this morning," said Shopper Shirley George. She bought her turkey Tuesday and came to Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market Wednesday to pick up the last few items she needs to cook 11 people Thanksgiving dinner.
A Reasor's shopper, Amber Munoz, said the hardest part of last minute holiday shopping is, "Just trying to make sure you have everything on your list you need, so you don't have to go back late at night when it's probably gone."
Grocery workers told Channel 8 (and no surprise here): turkeys are the hottest item this year. Other items they have to continuously restock include the aluminum pie tins and Christmas treats aisle. However, they said the Thanksgiving item they probably restock the least is the canned yams.
Both Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market and Reasor's will be open Thanksgiving Day.
