Garrett won't rule out Romo for Sunday
IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys are trying to dispel various broadcast reports that say Tony Romo will miss the rest of the season due to a back injury suffered in yesterday's game against Washington.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said this afternoon that his quarterback hasn't been ruled out of Sunday's game at Philadelphia. Garrett says Romo underwent an MRI today and will continue to receive treatment and undergo further evaluation.
Romo was hurt during the Cowboys' next-to-last series in a 24-23 win over Washington. He came back for the next series and threw a game-winning touchdown pass to DeMarco Murray with 1:08 remaining.
Kyle Orton would be the starting quarterback for Sunday's winner-take-all game against the Eagles for the NFC East title. Garrett says the team is looking for a No. 3 quarterback.
