Sure, it has been a disappointing year for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Nevertheless, TU sophomore wideout Keyarris Garrett racked up 12 receptions for 97 yards against an SEC defense.
While Garrett technically became the team's no. 1 receiver following Bryan Burnham's season-ending injury at Iowa State, his role in the offense didn't reflect it.
"He's still one of our primary receivers anyway," said Tulsa quarterback Cody Green during Tuesday's press conference. "The more we get him the ball, the more he's going to grow, and the more he's going to realize there aren't a lot of guys out there that can stop him."
Garrett certainly looks the part of a pro typical NFL "deep threat." With Green making noticeable improvements in his passing performances versus earlier in the season, we may see more of Garrett's big play ability Saturday at Houston.
