The man challenging Mary Fallin for the governor's seat hosted a rally outside the Governor's Mansion Wednesday morning.
Democratic Representative Joe Dorman lead a "Let Them Eat Cake" rally at 11 a.m. He spoke about a bill the governor recently signed that keeps cities in the state from establishing mandatory minimum wage or vacation and sick-day requirements.
There is a push in Oklahoma City to increase minimum wage to $10.10 per hour. Supporters will reportedly continue to try to gather the required 6,200 signatures required to get on a city ballot.
Governor Fallin has previously opposed a federal minimum wage increase, citing concerns for small business.
Minnesota's governor recently signed a bill increasing the state's minimum wage to $9.50.
