Bartlesville Schools' officials cancel classes after a reported armed person was sighted near the property, Wednesday, Dec. 19.
According Bartlesville Schools Superintendent Dr. Gary Quinn, a citizen alerted police to two possibly armed individuals on school property, but away from students, Tuesday evening.
The caller was unsure whether the people on the property were armed and police could not confirm whether they had a gun, said Quinn. The two left the area in a white pick-up truck or SUV.
Their activity was suspicious enough to prompt a tip to police and investigators are working to track the two down.
Wednesday was set to be Bartlesville's final day of class before winter break. Some students had final exams scheduled which will be moved.
Classes will resume January 2nd.
