The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirms the arrest of a state trooper for driving under the influence.
Trooper Joshua Davies was arrested after crashing a marked OHP SUV towing a Patrol boat. It happened July 3rd near Highway 59 south of Sallisaw.
Investigators say Davies showed signs of intoxication and was given a routine breath test where he registered over the legal limit.
Chief Patrol Colonel Ricky Adams says, "this type of behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstance."
The Highway Patrol says Davies has been a trooper for eight years and has been placed on routine administrative leave pending the results of an internal investigation.
