Ho Ho Hum! Helping Older Adults Keep Their Holiday Cheer
With every thing happening lately in the news, it can be difficult to keep your "holiday cheer".
And that's especially true for older adults.
Seniors can feel lonely and isolated during the holidays following the loss of a spouse or loved ones.
So it's important to reach out and make sure they're staying active and included.
Also, older adults need to accept that help.
Mary Hardy is a Behavior Health Specialist with Life Senior Services. She says, "I would just really encourage you to let people know how you feel. What's going on with you. Talk about it. And be open to whatever help you might need to get you through this."
Life Senior Services provides all kinds of activities including games, dance and exercise classes.
