Holland Hall Students Plant Garden for Homeless
Fifth graders at Holland Hall helped the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless plant their community garden Friday morning.
The same students had planted trees in the area in early fall, and were happy to see the trees making progress.
The Holland Hall students participate in a series of classes off campus to help get them ready for these sorts of gardening activities.
Sandra Lewis, executive director for the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, said the garden is important to the facility because it will provide fresh produce for the residents and cut costs in the kitchen.
