Tulsa Police are investigating the scene of a home invasion Monday morning that left a man with a gunshot wound to the leg after an attempted burglary.Officers responded to the 1900 block of N. Birmingham where they received information that a man had broken into a residence before 5 a.m.At the scene police were told by the homeowner's girlfriend that the suspect, later identified as Deangelo McBee, entered the home and took a television and a playstation. Moments later the residents watched McBee approach the bedroom.TPD told KTUL that the homeowner had his rifle with him when McBee entered the room. He pointed the gun at the suspect and fired a total of six rounds, one of them injuring him in the upper-left thigh.Police found McBee and transported him to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He will be booked and taken into custody following his release.
