The Humane Society of Tulsa is offering a St. Patrick's Day adoption special.
They have lowered their adoption rates to $17 for Friday and Sunday.
It's part of their "Green Seventeen" effort.
The money includes spaying and neutering, vaccinations, testing, plus flea and tick prevention.
Humane workers say they want to place pets in permanent homes.
"We've had a lot of animals in our system for awhile, and we always have a lot of requests to take on animals, and it just helps us find homes for the animals we've had for awhile," says Dan Canfield, manager. "And also, it helps us help people who want to place their animals with us, and hopefully create new opportunities for us to take on other animals in need."
Canfield says it's not about the money, but about placing pets in forever families.
The no-kill shelter has dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and colors.
It is located at 61st St. and Sheridan Road.
