Idlet Named To C-USA All-Academic Team

University of Tulsa fifth-year senior Steven Idlet was named to the five-member Conference USA Basketball All-Academic Team, it was announced today by the C-USA office.{}Idlet, a 6'11" center, has maintained a 3.24 grade point average in History. He also was named to the league's all-academic team as a sophomore in the 2009-10 season.{}The Prairie Grove, Arkansas native became Tulsa's 34th player in school history to score 1,000 career points. He went over the 1,000-point plateau against Tulane on February 25, finishing the game with 1,006 points. Idlet currently has 1,019 points and has scored 295 points this season.{}Idlet averages 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.0 blocks, while shooting .526 percent from the field ad .727 percent from three-point range this season. He has scored in double-figures in 15 games this year, including a career-best 23 points against Southeastern Louisiana.{}The remaining C-USA All-Academic Team includes East Carolina's Maurice Kemp, A.J. Rompza of UCF and Rice's senior duo of Connor Frizzelle and Lucas Kuipers.
