Illinois Woman Killed in Accident on Will Rogers, Passenger in Poor Condition

An Illinois woman was killed in a car accident on Will Rogers Turnpike in Ottawa County, Saturday, Nov. 10.

The accident involved a single vehicle driven by Ralph E. Caliendo, 63, with two passengers, Margaret Caliendo, 50, and a 4-year-old girl, Makayla Dovin.

According to the report, the vehicle was traveling westbound on Will Rogers when it ran off the roadway, struck a fence and went airborne for approximately 29 feet. The vehicle then struck an embankment and rolled once.

Both the driver and passenger were transported with internal and external injuries, listed in poor condition. Margaret Caliendo of Bolingbrook, Illinois, died from her injuries at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Dovin was treated and released with no listed injuries.
