The number of earthquakes here in the Sooner State is skyrocketing.
So, the Governor wants to make sure, homeowners are getting all of the information needed about quake insurance.
Mary Fallin and Insurance Commissioner John Doak are teaming up to make sure providers are more educated about the subject.
Starting January 1, 2015, agents will be required to get one hour of additional education about earthquake coverage.
Fallin says, "It's important as the market expands in Oklahoma that residents get reliable and accurate information from insurance agents to help them consider whether they need this additional coverage."
