The Bryan County Sheriff's office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating after a skull was found in a rural area of Bryan County by a local resident on Jan. 26.
On Jan. 30, investigators found other skeletal remains in the area.
The body is suspected to that of a white male of at least 40-years-old.
Investigators also suspect that the man died between one and five years ago based on the condition of the remains, but no missing person's reports match the description of this man.
The medical examiner's office will now attempt to extract DNA from the remains in order to enter it into the national missing person's database.
