Junk Mail or old catalogs

Awl or embroidery needle

Jewelry hoops (which you can purchase at your local craft store)

  • Cut out a shape (or shapes) from your junk mail. Consider cutting shapes out of patterns or cutting out individual images (like flowers or fruit).
  • Poke a hole approximately 1/4 inch away from the edge of your shape.
  • Thread your shape through your jewelry earring hoop. Optional: You can layer shapes and create three dimensions by placing a seed bead in between each layer.
