Judge Issues Gag Order for Woman Accused of Teen's Death in 2006

A Broken Arrow woman accused of first degree murder in the 2006 death of a male teen appeared in court Thursday morning

Deputies with the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office arrested Courtney Manzer in February for her allege role in the 2006 death of Jarret Clark. Prosecutors charged her with first degree murder a short time after her arrest.

Court records indicate that Manzer appeared at the Wagoner County Courthouse for a scheduled appearance. During the proceedings the judge issued a gag order on the case barring both sides from discussing the trial outside of the courtroom.

Manzer has previously pleaded not guilty to the murder charge, according to previous reports from KTUL. Prosecutors announced this week the arrest of Dayna Miller for murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder.

The arrest affidavit states Miller told an eyewitness "as long as they don't find a body we are okay" in reference to Jarret Clark's disappearance at Fort Gibson Lake after a graduation celebration.

Previous reports from KTUL state that Manzer's arrest ends the Clark family's eight year wait to see charges filed in the case. The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office initially ruled the 18-year-old drowned.

Clark disappeared while at a graduation party at the lake. His family has long suspected that Clark got into a fight, was knocked unconscious and thrown into the lake.
