Kiefer Public School Officials Announce Closure, Flu to Blame
Kiefer Public School officials announced Thursday morning that classes would be canceled due to a significant amount of students out with the flu.
Due to more then 25% of the student population having the flu, both the elementary and high school sites will be closed on Friday.
KPS Superintendent Mary Murrell told KTUL.com that around 100 students are out with the flu and custodians will be on hand disinfecting the schools. She said this is the first time in the school's history that Kiefer has had to close.
