Landry Jones Learning The Steeler Way

Former Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones continues to learn his way around the "Steal City." Jones was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the NFL Drafted back in late April.

After spending five-years in Norman, he's now the new kid on the block in Pittsburgh. But after a couple of OTA's Landry is starting to get the hang of the "Steeler Way."

"There is more information out there. It's always different when you have something new that you're not familiar with." Jones said, "So I just need to get in there and study my playbook a little bit more. It's going to be a big opportunity for me just being here period. It's a lifetime dream. You dream as a little kid about being a professional football player and now you're actually out here doing it."

Landry will be learning from starter Ben Roethlisburger. Big Ben had minor surgery on his right knee on June 5th that was the result of slight discomfort this off season. Pittsburgh advised him to get the surgery done to ensure he will be completely healthy for the start of training camp. This surgery will have no long-term effects on his health.

The Steelers open the season at home against the Tennessee Titans on September the 8th.
