PC Power partners with local law enforcement agencies to deliver 100 computers to children in the Tulsa area.
PC Power was founded by retired Tulsa Police Officer Glenn DeWeese, who began building computers for needy children as a Christmas project in 2003.
The project has grown to a year-round effort providing computers for over 1,000 families annually.
The 2012 North Pole Computer Project included the Tulsa Police Department, Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, Jenks Campus Police, Tulsa Public Schools Police, Broken Arrow, Sapulpa, Coweta, Bixby and Sand Springs Police Departments plus the Cherokee, Creek and Osage Nations Tribal Police.
For weeks officers have been assembling computers at Tulsa's Fraternal Order of Police Lodge. They are then wrapped and loaded into patrol cars for delivery.
