Local Company Taking Cardboard, Styrofoam, and Christmas Lights for Free

It's the first holiday season under the new City of Tulsa recycling program and there are some things you can't recycle like styrofoam and Christmas lights. The 12 Days After Christmas at Harley Hollan Companies allows you to get rid of your cardboard, styrofoam, and Christmas lights for free. The part that it's free is what gets a lot of people coming back.

"It doesn't take but a couple of minutes to drop it off and like I said the bin is really accessible to do that. It's right near the expressway. So, there is really no reason not to do that," says Mark McFadden.

This year all the money raised from collecting all three items will go to Turn Tulsa Pink. Last year, this project brought more than three thousand dollars to the Blue Star Mothers. So, the director and founder of Turn Tulsa Pink wants everyone to bring as much product as you can.

"Not only your Christmas 12 days, go through your attic I know you have junk like I do stacked up in boxes and oh papers and everything that you can bring out here and really help the local people right here in Tulsa," says Judi Grover, Founder and Director, Turn Tulsa Pink.

All you have to do is bring your items and put them in the bins.

"With us you don't have to break it down. You can just bring it in a bag, you can leave the styrofoam in the box and all you have to do is throw it in the bin and we will sort it for you," says Director of Marketing, Sherry Brunner.

Harley Hollan Companies will take your cardboard, styrofoam, and Christmas lights until January 2, 2013. Their hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 A.M. Till 5:30 P.M. Saturday 8 A.M. Till Noon Sunday Noon till 4 P.M. They are located at 61st and Highway 169.
