Music, food and a beautiful view; that's how dozens of lake goers spent their Labor Day. They came out to the new two level bar and restaurant located at the harbor at Crosstimbers on Keystone Lake.
"We have the newest one of if not the largest floating restaurants in Oklahoma," said Ron Howell, owner and developer.
Owner Howell gave me a tour of the restaurant. The downstairs has a long bar, flat screen TV's and about 50 seats inside.
"This is really designed to be an open air facility, but also we can close it up and keep everyone warm in the winter and cool in the summer," Howell said.
The restaurant also has a second level seating area where you can enjoy a perfect view of the lake. On weekend nights there will be live music or karaoke on the upper deck. Even though the restaurant just opened this past Saturday, on the last unofficial weekend of summer, Howell expects it to thrive.
"Because of the population around here we see this as a year around setting. Some of the best months to be on the lake are September, October and even into November. Football going on, tailgate parties we will be doing all of that," Howell said.
At the Harbor at Crosstimbers there's another unique amenity.
The new development offers a one of a kind experience in Oklahoma. You can rent one of these air stream trailers that are newly renovated. There's a small kitchen area, a bathroom and a bedroom.
"What you will be seeing here shortly is that they have flat screen TV's, air conditioning. They got their own individual little decks. Big lake views. You are right on the water," Howell said.
Locals we spoke to said they are loving the change on Keystone Lake.
"It's really nice out here. I am going to rent on of these air stream trailers. Eighty-five dollars, that's a pretty good deal," said Bob Newport.
