Lockdown Lifted at Tulsa Schools After Police Pursuit in Area

Three Tulsa schools were placed on lock down Monday afternoon during a police pursuit.

School officials placed Carver Middle School, Emerson Elementary and Burroughs Elementary on a routine lockdown after being notified that Tulsa Police were in pursuit of suspects in a stolen vehicle.

A spokesperson for TPD told KTUL that four individuals were flagged down in the reported stolen vehicle. Police notified Tulsa Public Schools because of the chance that weapons could have been with the suspects.

Names have not been released for the suspects in the pursuit. But TPD stated that two of them were caught and taken into custody while the other two escaped police.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
