Police arrested a man who reportedly beat up another individual with rocks and a metal pole in west Tulsa early Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to the scene near 17th and Southwest Boulevard. That's where 53-year-old Noris Wilson was allegedly high at the time.
An EMSA crew driving by noticed the fight and stopped to call police. Officers found Wilson a couple of blocks away and arrested him for assault with a deadly weapon.
Sergeant Gary Otterstrom told KTUL there was no apparent motive for the attack.
"The suspect is apparently high on PCP or some kind of drug. We're taking him to a different hospital to have him medically cleared."
Officers stated that the victim is being held at an area hospital with extensive injuries to his head and upper body.
Wilson is being held on $50,000 bond at the Tulsa County Jail.
