Man Charged with Peeping Tom After Women Discover Hidden Cameras
A 51-year-old man had his first court appearance this week after being charged with 10 counts of peeping tom.
Prosecutors charged Martin Rigdon for peeping tom back in March. He was taken into custody after two women in Claremore notified officers that they had been secretly recorded in a bathroom by a "family friend."
Court documents obtained by KTUL state that the women discovered cameras hidden in a bathroom of a Claremore residence in the 300 block of W. 7th St. One of the women that found them threw them away, but believed more were hidden elsewhere in the home.
Investigators were given a USB drive that was taken from Rigdon's residence by one of the women. It contained movies, images and other files that contained images of the naked women in various subfolders.
All the files located in on the USB drive appear to have been taken from late 2012 and early 2013, according to the affidavit. An additional woman and man also were found videotaped.
Officers were told that Rigdon is believed to be the man who installed the cameras. He is being held at the Rogers County Jail.
Rigdon is scheduled for another court appearance on June 19.
