Man Dies in Broken Arrow Motorcycle Accident
A man is dead following a car accident Tuesday evening.
A man driving a Kawasaki ZX7R motorcycle eastbound on 101st Street South tried to pass other vehicles at a high rate of speed when he lost control, causing the motorcycle to roll across the westbound traffic lane, striking a silver 2009 Toyota Matrix going westboundaccording to a press release from the Broken Arrow Police Department.
The accident happened at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries. Police said he had not been wearing a helmet or protective gear.
The driver of the Toyota was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and received only minor injuries.
The names of the people involved in the accident are being withheld until next of kin can be notified.
