Man Fights Officers over Wife's Arrest, Gets Arrested
Tulsa police officers arrested a 25-year-old man after he reportedly lied to and threatened them Thursday evening.
Police say they were on scene on the 4000 block of South 130th East Avenue looking for the wife of the suspect because she had five outstanding warrants for her arrest.
The suspect, Mike Torres, 25, told officers outside the apartment that he had not seen his wife for "quite some time."
Officers then reportedly peered into the apartment and saw three children in the apartment, which appeared to be completely without furniture. Police then asked for permission from Torres to make sure the children were safe, and inside they located Sanchez.
Sanchez was arrested on five outstanding warrants that totaled $475, and has since been released on bond.
Unhappy with his wife's arrest, Torres started to fight police officers. After a struggle, he was placed in handcuffs, the police report states. Torres allegedly told police he would find out who they were so he could find them again.
Torres was booked into jail for threatening a violent act and is being held on over $25,000 bond.
