Man Found Dead from Gunshot Wounds Outside Home in Haskell

Muskogee deputies are looking into the death of a 24-year-old man found shot to death in Haskell.

Investigators with the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office stated that Cody Lee Burris was found dead over the weekend in front of a residence. He was reportedly shot multiple times.

According to a report from the Associated Press, Burris' car was discovered in front of the home. An investigator stated that Burris knew the occupants of the home where he wound found dead outside.

Authorities say witnesses reported seeing a white truck speeding away from the scene shortly after the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Muskogee County Sheriff's Department.
