Tulsa Man Shot by OHP Trooper Booked into Jail

Kermit Farrish

Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators have released more information about an officer-involved shooting in East Tulsa early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. near the intersection of 11th and Garnett in East Tulsa, when an OHP trooper pulled over a vehicle for an expired tag.

During the traffic stop, the driver, 33-year-old Kermit Lee Farrish, was shot by Trooper Shiloh Hall after trying to take the trooper's gun during a scuffle, OHP said.

Farrish was released from St. John Medical Center Wednesday morning and booked into the Tulsa Co. Jail on a felony assault and battery on a peace officer charge.

The passenger in his car fled the scene and has not been found.

He is described as a black male in his 20s or 30s.

Hall, 27, has been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
