Oklahoma State star point guard Marcus Smart was selected as the 6th overall pick by the Boston Celtics in the 2014 NBA Draft.
Smart is the 34th Cowboy all-time to be drafted in the NBA Draft. It's the highest pick by an Oklahoma State Cowboy since 1995.
OSU guard Markel Brown was also taken in the draft, at No. 44 overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Oklahoma City Thunder had two picks in the first round Thursday night.
At No. 21 overall, OKC took Mitch McGary, a power forward from the University of Michigan. The 6'10", 255-pound McGary averaged 9.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in 2013-14, but missed the season's final 29 games with a back injury.
And then at No. 29 the Thunder selected small forward Josh Huestis from Stanford. He averaged 11.2 points a game during his senior season. He also averaged 8.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks as a senior.
Oklahoma City did not have any draft picks in the second round of the NBA Draft.
