      Mary Anne's Hot Fudge Sauce

      Nothing tastes better over ice-cream than homemade hot fudge sauce. With help from mom or grandma, pre-teens really enjoy making this recipe. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator and re-heat in the microwave.

      30 large marshmallows

      2/3 cup milk (I have used evaporated milk at times)

      1/4 cup butter

      1/8 teaspoon salt

      1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

      1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, Godiva chocolate liqueur or peppermint liqueur

      • In a saucepan over low heat, heat marshmallows, milk, butter, and salt until marshmallows have melted. Stir often. This should take about five minutes. Add chocolate chips and vanilla extract; continue stirring until chocolate is melted, 5 minutes more. Serve warm.

      Note: Instead of vanilla extract, you can add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract for a a tasty chocolate mint flavor.

      Note: Usa a non-stick pan.
